Pre-Diagnosis
If you have concerns about your child's development in the areas of their social communication and interaction, behaviour, play skills and sensory difficulties, then it is best to liaise with the child's school or setting.
If your child is not in a school yet, then speak to your GP or Health Visitor.

Diagnosis
To receive a diagnosis of Autism a person will have difficulties in two main areas: Social Communication and Interaction, and Restrictive and Repetitive Patterns of Behaviour. They may also have sensory difficulties. This is known as the Dyad of Impairment:
