Family Matters

Therapy and support for child and adult victims of rape and child sexual abuse and non-abusing parents. Specialist, confidential counselling, advice and helpline services. Service delivered at various locations across the borough (contact for more information).

Place2Be

Place 2 Be is a school-based service providing therapeutic, mental health support to improve the emotional well-being of children, their families and the whole school community. Place2Be is currently based in Foxfield, Gallions Mount, St Patricks RC and St Thomas a Beckett primary schools in Royal Greenwich borough. The service provides one-to-one and/or group counselling sessions for children and 'Place for Parents' counselling for parents.

Floating Support

Royal Greenwich Housing has commisioned a floating support service from Housing for Women (Greenwich DVA Services). This service provides advice, information & support for up to 60 women resident in their own home in Royal Greenwich who are experiencing DVA. This is a service for victims and survivors of DVA.

Health Visiting and DVA

Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust Health Visiting teams ask about domestic violence as part of the Family Health Needs assessment. This can take place antenatally, following the birth of a baby, when a family arrive in the area or at any time where the professional thinks the question is indicated. Opportunities will be provided to see the possible victim alone to hold sensitive conversations. Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy - Her Centre

Independent Domestic Violence Advocacy - Injunctions & Supporting Victims at Court

Independent Domestic Violence Advocates support victims they work with to apply for non-molestation, occupation and prohibitive steps orders. Advocates also accompany victims to court to provide them with support. If special measures are required to aid the giving of evidence the advocate makes the necessary application to the court. 

The Metro Centre
