Citizen Forums and Surgeries give people an opportunity to find out what is going on in Greenwich and London and to talk about how services can be improved. Meetings take place at different venues to make sure that everyone has access them.

People with a learning disability in Greenwich have said they can feel scared, intimidated and unsafe when out in the community and do not know where to go for help if they need it. The Safe Places scheme means that people with a learning disability can easily identify a safe place to go to if they are feeling at risk and need help. Places in the community such as shops, cafes, pubs and community buildings sign up to be a safe place and display a sticker in their window.
