The Talisman Charitable Trust
Charity assists UK residents living on a very low income helping to relieve poverty and offering support which includes grants for education, health, housing, disablement or disability. There are no restrictions in relation to their grant criteria but the charity requires applications to be made in writing and supported by another charitable organisation, local authority or Citizens' Advice Bureau. The charity also assists charities with similar objectives.
Applications should be on headed paper and include the individual’s full name and address, a summary of their financial circumstances, what is needed and how much it will cost. A brief history of the case; a list of any other charities approached; supporting evidence eg medical documentation, a letter from the applicant’s school and written quotations would also be helpful. Applications are considered throughout the year. Only successful applications will receive a reply.
