Irish Community Services - Carers Support Group
Many carers do not know what help is available for them, or how to access support when they need it.
Irish Community Services Carers’ Support project aims to help carers with all aspects of care needs, for the person cared for, and the carers themselves. This includes:
Home visits;
- Practical advice;
- Support for those in crisis;
- Information about benefits and other support;
- Help getting respite;
- Carers Assessments;
- Telephone support;
- Volunteer ‘Sitting in’/Befriending support;
- Monthly Newsletter for Carers
Carers Support Group
An important opportunity for carers to meet up with other people who are also caring for loved ones and relatives. A place to find out useful information, raise questions and issues that that concern them, but perhaps most importantly a chance to have a chat and meet up with carers
