Girl Guides

Girlguiding UK offers a girls-only space where girls of all backgrounds, abilities and nationalities can make new friends, learn new skills and have fun.

Rainbows is for girls’ aged 5 to 7 and uses games and activities to help developing self-confidence.

Brownies is for girls aged 7 to 10 and involves activities, arts and crafts, special events, day trips, sleepovers, camps and holidays.

Guides are aged 10 to 14. Members take part in a wide range of activities, sports, arts and crafts and attend regular meetings, special events and holidays.

Girls can work towards Guide interest badges covering many different hobbies and activities. The Senior Section is for young women aged 14 to 25. It offers an exciting and flexible programme with a variety of challenges and opportunities for personal development – sure to impress universities and potential employers. Guides can take their chosen activities as far as they wish, from taster level all the way to gaining a qualification that is recognised outside guiding. Senior Section members can undertake a wide range of awards and qualifications such as Duke of Edinburgh's Award Scheme.
