Details: With my experience as a registered nurse and having taken the course relating to SEND, I understand the key approach to supporting a child with SEND. Supporting a child with SEND requires a comprehensive and individualized approach and below are few of mine as a childminder. One must understand each child has unique needs and strengths and must tailor teaching methods and materials accordingly. I will foster a welcoming and supportive atmosphere and encourage positive peer interactions. I will work closely with parents, caregivers, and specialists to regularly communicate and update on progress. I will use specialised learning materials and assistive technology to ensure curriculum accessibility for all. I will address social and emotional needs and promote self-esteem and coping skills. I will regularly assess and adjust support strategies and stay informed about the latest research and best practices.
