The Anchor SENDfriendly (TAS) Nursery
Welcome to our early years provision which is a fully inclusive nursery setting for children ages 2 – 5 years.
We provide specific support and resources for children with SEND and give support and information to families to ensure that all relevant information, funding, benefits and offers are known parents and carers to best support the child and family. Here is how we do it;
Term Time Nursery Provision
We are a 30-place nursery setting which offer places for children aged 2 – 5 years old. We provide funded education and childcare for 2, 3 and 4 year-olds, and are able to offer top up hours at an additional cost.
Our opening hours are 9am – 3:30pm, term time only. We offer AM sessions (9am – 12pm) PM sessions, (12:30pm – 3:30pm) or all-day sessions (9:30am – 3:30pm).
Our sensory provision includes.
- a fully inclusive immersion room.

- sensory room with state-of-the-art wall projector and waterbed.
- LCD multicoloured ball pond and soft playroom with equipment.
- interactive floor projector which incorporates fun, engaging and educational experiences.

We also have available:
- Smart TV with internet and USB functionality to facilitate information sharing and training sessions.
- Tea/Coffee making facilities with access to light snacks and confectionary.
*Coming Soon* Our 0 – 2-year baby room will be opening soon! Our dedicated early years practitioners will provide a full sensory and exploratory environment! Please contact us for more details or an application form.
Working in partnership
At the TAS Nursery, we understand the need to work in partnership with professionals and the community to best support our children and families. We currently work with;
- Local Authority services such as Early Years Inclusion Team, Educational Psychology, and the RBG Sensory Service.
- Health services such as Speech and Language Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.
- Local nursery settings (transitions, support, link work).

Parent/Carer Coffee Mornings
We host coffee mornings to ensure that parents and carers have a safe place to share their concerns, ask questions and gather information on how to best support their child and receive help to access funding, projects and respite care.

We have incorporated Communication/Language, Personal, Social and Emotional Development and Physical Development within a safe space for children and young adults with SEND. |
