Groundwork

Groundwork offers various training and work placements to young people aged 16+ who are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET). Young people can access dedicated advisors offering advice. guidance and support.

For those aged 16-24 years old and claiming Jobseekers/claiming JSA Groundwork offers training in Horticulture; Customer Service; Business Administration; Retail; Functional Skills; Employability; Waste and Recycling; ICT; White Goods Servicing and Understanding Sustainable Energy Efficiency.

It also offers Work placements, offering experience and on-the-job training, Job search, CVs, application and interview support and accredited vocational training.

Young people can also access Job placements in Domestic Energy Advice; a range of environmental opportunities; Recycling and Waste Management and Horticulture and Grounds Maintenance.

Groundwork also offers a targeted Home Office funded Employment Information, Advice and Guidance to support young people aged 16-25 years old who are third country nationals residing in Bexley or Greenwich. Young people should be UK resident for less than 10 years with right to reside and “No Recourse to Public Funds”.

Employment Information, Advice and Guidance Support is available on:

Monday 10am-12pm at Woolwich Common Community Centre, 16 Leslie Smith Square, London SE18 4DW

Wednesday and Thursday from 10am-4pm at Arnott Community Centre, 3 Arnott Close, off Titmuss Avenue,  Thamesmead,  SE28 8BG
