Christchurch School Community Garden - helping to improve physical and mental health
CSCG is a green space in East Greenwich, open to the public on Fridays 10.30am onwards. We also host food-growing and other garden celebration events at weekends throughout the year.
The aims of the project are to provide a rare green community space where residents can join others to learn about
- gardening
- food-growing
- beekeeping
- healthy living
- wildlife
The benefits of getting outdoors are well known, with much research proving the link between outdoor activity and mental health outcomes. We'd love to hear from residents themselves, link-workers in social prescribing, occupational therapists or others providing sign-posting to healthy outdoor activities.
If you think a lovely community green space like ours can help you in any way, please don't hesitate to contact us.
