Champions 4 Change - Young Champions Amateur Boxing Club for Young Carers
WHAT IS CHAMPIONS 4 CHANGE?
C4C uses Boxing, fitness and mentoring as a vehicle for positive change in young people.
We empower them to become the best versions of themselves through structured training and development programmes. Our aim is to inspire young people to make positive decisions for themselves whilst thinking ahead and designing the futures they deserve.
Young Carers
A “Young Carer” is someone under 18 who helps look after someone in their family, who is ill, disabled or misuses drugs or alcohol. C4C believe that young people who help family dependants with physical or mental challenges are totally overlooked. We offer young carers respite, recognition and inspiration to continue to care selflessly for their loved ones.
The amateur boxing club provides young carers with a safe environment that enables them to build confidence, self-esteem, personal resilience and positive relationships with other young carers. This is achieved through a structured fitness programme with a strong emphasis on non-contact boxing training. The sessions are held every Monday's at 5pm.
The program runs over 8 weeks (Monday's 5pm) and members are awarded with ASDAN recognised qualifications at the end of each program.
Spaces are very limited.
