Support and information on help with childcare costs

There is a wide range of financial help that parents and carers may be eligible for. From 15 and 30 hours for children aged 9 months to 4yrs, to Tax-Free Childcare and Universal Credit Childcare help.

Our friendly Families Information Service can help you find the right support that fits your family.

Come along to one of our drop-in sessions around the borough where we can talk you through your options, help you with applications and support you to find available childcare.

The deadline for applying or renewing applications for Autumn term for working parents 30 hours is the 31st of August.

The team will be available at the following dates and locations – 

  • 1st July 2025, 10am – 12pm, Woolwich Library, Wellington Street SE18 6HQ

 

  • 8th July 2025, 10am – 12pm, The Eltham Centre, Archery Road SE9 1HA

 

  • 8th July 2025, 1pm – 3pm, Brookhill Children’s Centre, Brumwell Avenue SE18 6BD

 

  • 10th July 2025, 11.30am – 1.30pm, Charlton Family Centre, 41-43 Shirley House Drive, SE7 7EL

     

  • 21st July 2025, 10.30am – 12.30pm, Waterways Children’s Centre, Southwood Road SE28 8EZ

 

  • 29th July 2025, 10am – 12.30pm, Blackheath Library, Old Dover Road SE3 7BT

 

  • 5th August 2025, 10.30am – 12.30pm, Mulberry Park Children’s Centre, Boxgrove Road SE2 9JP
