You can choose a mainstream school in a neighbouring borough if it’s closer to your home. 

The services in schools will be different from borough to borough so make sure you check that it aligns with your child’s needs.

Independent special schools

We try to place all children and young people with special education needs in schools within Greenwich. However, we may refer you to an independent special school if your child’s needs cannot be met otherwise.

When this happens, we can only use schools that have been approved by the Department of Education. Check which schools have been approved (GOV.UK) 

We currently have children attending the following independent schools:
