What happens next
Once we’ve received your referral form
- We’ll review it and update you on the next steps. You may need to wait for an OT assessment, and we might signpost you to other relevant services.
- If your child needs an assessment, their case will be allocated to a member of the team when possible and they’ll contact you to arrange the assessment.
- Following the assessment, we might:
- provide advice on different ways your child could complete tasks
- provide specialist equipment on loan, and review as necessary
- make recommendations for adaptations to your home
- advise on moving and handling needs (lifting, moving and carrying your child)
- support a need to move to more suitable housing
- make referrals or signpost to other services or agencies
