How we support children with Deafness
Our Sensory Services team works across schools and families to make sure children with Deafness achieve their potential and get the support they need.
We can:
- give tailored training and support for parents or carers
- give audiological support
- carry out assessments
- give strategies to develop sign language
- write reports for Education, Health and Care plans and more
- attend meetings for transition support, Team Around the Child (TAC) provision mapping or annual reviews
- liaise with other professionals and agencies
- visit your home regularly when your child is under 5
- go to school or clinic visits with you
