Greenwich Young People's Council (GYPC)

Greenwich Young People's Council (GYPC) is a group of elected young people who represent the views of children and young people across the borough and influence Royal Greenwich council decision-making.

You can run for election to be a Youth Councillor if you’re aged 11-18 or up to 25 if you have a disability and you live or go to school in the borough.

As a youth councillor, you will:

• Run campaigns, projects and events on key issues for young people
• Meet regularly with senior decision-makers and politicians
• Raise awareness of how young people can get involved in local decision-making
• Work with other youth groups to get their views on key issues
• Be involved in recruiting new staff and commissioning new services
  
  

You'll also meet new people, learn new skills, receive accredited training AND take part in regional and national activities and events.
