Children's Physiotherapy Service
The Physiotherapy team is part of the Greenwich Children's Integrated Therapies Service and sits across the 3 Integrated Therapies Service areas.
Stand alone services
There are also stand-along services across the service areas:
- Early Years Team - assessment and intervention for children under 5 not yet at school.
- School Years Team - assessment and intervention for 5 to 19 year olds who go to mainstream school and have an EHCP. Speech and Language Therapy is usually provided at school, while Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy sessions generally take place in a clinic.
- Special Schools Team - assessment and intervention for young people with profound and complex needs and go to a special school in Greenwich.
Stand alone services
There are also stand-along services across the service areas:
- The MOVE team – a physiotherapy team that work with schools to help integrate movement into a child's daily routine.
- Rapid Response team – a physiotherapy team that provides urgent support for babies born with congenital conditions. It also supports complex hospital discharge
- Dysphagia and Complex Needs (DCN) team - A speech and language therapy team that supports the eating and drinking skills of babies and young children with complex needs.
