Helpline for male victims of domestic abuse

If you're a man who has experienced domestic abuse, you can call ManKind's helpline to get some advice from people who will listen, believe and support you.

One in six men will be a victim of domestic abuse in their lifetime. This can range from actual violence to mental abuse, such as bullying or constant insults.

This service supports all survivors, no matter your background, age, job, race or sexuality.

 Listening includes:
  • simply being someone for you to talk to
  • giving you confidence
  • helping you to realise you are not blame

Information they can give you includes:
  • how to report incidents
  • planning an escape
  • police procedures
  • local support services such as charities or domestic abuse support services
  • signposting to support for emergency housing including refuges/safe housing
  • signposting to specialist legal help/solicitors

You can also call the helpline if you are worried about a man you know. You do not have to be a man to call about this.

ManKind do not reply to emails for safety reasons, as their reply may be read by an abuser.
