Listening books

Listening Books lend audiobook to UK residents with an illness, disability, learning or mental health condition that means they cannot read or hold a book so they can still enjoy reading. 

Audiobooks can provide hours of entertainment and a distraction from loneliness or a health condition. They offer memberships to adults, children, people living in care homes, hospices and hospitals, and organisations like schools.

How to access audiobooks
You can access audiobooks on the Listening Books website or by downloading the Libby app.

Members can choose from a wide collection of titles, including fiction and non-fiction for children and adults. There are also thousands of newspapers and magazines with an audio function, as part of membership.

Memberships are free to those who cannot afford the standard membership costs but would benefit one.
