Support for families with a loved one aged 0 to 18 diagnosed with a complex medical need

Emotional support for the whole family from the moment a child or young person is diagnosed with a complex medical need. This includes conditions identified during pregnancy up to the age of 18 or for as long as needed.
The Maypole Project supports the whole family including:
  • siblings
  • the ill or disabled child or young person
  • parents
  • grandparents

Support is tailored to each family’s individual need and can be provided at home, schools, hospices or hospitals.
Support may include:
  • counselling
  • befriending
  • play therapy
  • drama therapy
  • activity days
  • outings
  • Maypole Active inclusive sports club
  • national helpline
  • arts and crafts groups
