Training in Reminiscence Arts in Dementia Care

The European Reminiscence Network is offering a 2‑day training course and optional 4‑month apprenticeship in reminiscence arts for dementia care, supported by the Greenwich Healthier Communities Fund.

2‑Day Training Course
Dates: 5–6 March 2026
Time: 9:30–17:00 (light lunch included)
Venue: University of Greenwich, Drama Building, Woolwich SE18 6QX

This practical course is led by experienced reminiscence arts practitioners with input from volunteers and former carers. Participants will receive European Reminiscence Network certification.

4‑Month Apprenticeship
Up to 10 trainees can continue to an apprenticeship to become accredited RYCT facilitators. Apprentices attend at least 5 of 8 weekly RYCT sessions with people living with dementia and their carers.
Sessions take place Wednesday afternoons from 11 March 2026 at Mycenae House.

Costs & Bursaries

• Training: £120
• Apprenticeship: £120
• Two half‑cost bursaries available for Greenwich-based unemployed or low‑waged applicants.
