Greenwich Time to Talk

Time to Talk provides counselling services for people aged 16 and above living in the borough of Greenwich with common concerns such as anxiety or depression. There are times when everyone feels stressed or unhappy. Generally these bad times pass, but sometimes there are problems that do not go away and things get harder and harder. One in four people can feel this way at some point in their life.

There is support for people over 16 who live and/or work in Greenwich borough.

There is also provide a specific services for 16 and 17 year olds, 65 year old and above and people suffering from long term conditions.

Description

Universal Services:

Time to Talk offers Counselling, CBT, Guided Self Help, Employment Support, Group and Public Workshops, for residents living in the borough of Greenwich or Registered with a Greenwich GP.

Treatment is based on cognitive behavioural psychotherapy (CBT) and counselling and involves guided self-help and talking therapy. This service does not prescribe medication.

Workshops currently include a sleep difficulties workshop, how to manage stress workshop, mindfullness workshop and a wellbeing at work workshop.

The Feel Better service is run from this location which helps people who are feeling:

  • tired
  • worried
  • tearful
  • anxious
  • stressed out
  • panicked
  • alone
  • low
  • unmotivated
  • depressed

Specialised Services:

Specialist support is provided over the phone along with stress control classes and online computer programmes to help you develop the skills you need to make positive changes.
