Royal Museums Greenwich Youth Advisory Board
Royal Museums Greenwich comprises the Royal Observatory, Cutty Sark, National Maritime Museum and Queen’s House. Together we’re dedicated to enriching people’s understanding of the sea, the exploration of space, and Britain's role in world history.
Group meets regularly & offers consultation on making the museum relevant to young people.
Group organises events & workshops and goes behind the scenes to explore the Museum, and shares ideas on development.
Group gains skills in teamwork; in offering opinions on the strategic development of the museum, ensuring that events and activities are relevant to young people. It also offers the opportunity to take part in the development and delivery of cultural events; to make new friends; to gain qualifications eg a Bronze Arts Award at Summer School & add something unique to their CV, gaining new skills in a professional environment and to making a difference in their community.
